Media sources reported that a group of individuals, including some with criminal records, are engaging in bullying at the weekly Sidi Bouzkri market in Meknes by controlling certain spots within the market. They rent these spots to some vendors in exchange for daily fees ranging between 30 and 50 dirhams.
According to the sources, the issue of bullying and controlling some of the designated spaces for displaying goods by people who are not affiliated with the community has sparked widespread controversy and anger among many vendors. These vendors struggle to obtain spaces to display their merchandise and are often forced to pay bribes and commissions to secure spots for selling their goods.
