The Governor of Meknes Province has issued strict directives to identify and address all major hotspots of public space occupation, as part of efforts to restore order and dignity in the city’s public areas. These instructions aim to put an end to the phenomenon of illegal occupation of public spaces that has become a source of nuisance for residents.
The directives follow a successful security operation targeting the jurisdiction of Borj Moulay Omar, an action that was warmly welcomed by the community, who viewed it as an important step towards improving living conditions in this marginalized neighborhood.
The Governor emphasized that the focus will now shift to other local markets, which have become significant sources of disturbance to residents. The importance of organizing and cleaning these markets from all forms of illegal occupation was also stressed.
In this context, the districts of Al-Wefaq and Wajh Arous stand out as exemplary models of good organization and compliance with regulations, serving as benchmarks for other areas.
These measures are part of a comprehensive policy to enhance the quality of life in the city and protect the public rights of citizens, fostering harmony between authorities and residents.
