Statement
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate. All praise is due to Allah, Who does not love the aggressors nor guide the treachery of the treacherous, and peace and blessings be upon the one sent as a mercy to the worlds, his family, his companions, and those who follow his guidance until the Day of Judgment. Praise be to Allah, Who says in His Wise Book:
“Muhammad is but a messenger; messengers have passed away before him. If he dies or is slain, will you then turn back on your heels? He who turns back on his heels will do no harm to Allah, and Allah will reward the grateful. No soul can ever die except by Allah’s permission and at a term appointed. And whoever desires the reward of this world, We shall give him thereof; and whoever desires the reward of the Hereafter, We shall give him thereof; and We shall reward the grateful.”
The Association of the Boudchichian Shurafa has been closely following, and continues to follow, what has been happening outside the protection of the Qadiri Boudchichia Order—malicious attempts to plot against it—since the very moment the Divine Sheikh, Sidi Jamal (may Allah sanctify his soul), was transferred to the Military Hospital in Rabat to receive necessary treatment under the High Royal Patronage. At that time, the forces of evil, aided by the pens of devils and platforms of opportunists, conspired against the glad tidings of the Gnostic, the Divine Pole, Dr. Sidi Mounir, who is widely recognized for his piety, righteousness, patience, generosity, integrity, honor, true patriotism, and firm attachment to the glorious Alaouite Throne.
Last night, hearts reached throats, and the disciples of this blessed order were shaken deeply following the release of a false and malicious statement, falsely attributed to our Sheikh, the Divine Pole Sidi Mounir. This statement falsely claimed that he was stepping down from the leadership of the order in favor of his younger brother, citing baseless justifications rejected by any sound mind. It spread like wildfire across websites, social media platforms, and instant messaging apps. But Allah protected and strengthened his disciples and lovers, preserving their covenant and their connected spiritual chain to the Master of all creation. Those who sought to harm our Sheikh—an enlightened scholar of high moral character, deep knowledge, and a globally respected Islamic figure—were repelled in frustration, gaining nothing from their malicious schemes.
In light of this dangerous escalation against the order and its beloved pious Sheikh, the members of the noble Boudchichia Association, both inside and outside the Kingdom of Morocco, express their praise and gratitude to Allah Almighty for entrusting His Muhammadan secret to His humble servant, our Master Sidi Mounir, grandson of the trustworthy Messenger (peace be upon him). This designation is reinforced by a legitimate written testament signed by our late Sheikh, the virtuous Dr. Sidi Jamal, and witnessed by a group of pious scholars and noble shurafa. They beseech Allah, with His most beautiful names and exalted attributes, to complete His blessings upon our noble Sheikh and protect him from the evils of those who target his honorable position and his Muhammadan path.
They affirm the following:
First: Any attempt to overthrow the inheritor of the Muhammadan secret, and to go against the choice of the Gnostics Sidi al-Hajj Abbas, Sidi Hamza, and Sidi Jamal (may Allah sanctify their secrets), as stipulated in their legitimate testament, is a reprehensible act prohibited by Sharia. It is contrary to the spirit of the Constitution and the law, and conflicts with the solid foundations of the Commandership of the Faithful, which safeguards the Ash‘ari creed, the Maliki madhhab, and Junaydi Sufism. Such an act is a blatant disobedience to Allah, His Messenger, and the believers—an act of tyranny, corruption on earth, and a fitna whose grave consequences only Allah knows.
Second: They commend the great role played by the disciples and lovers of the order in confronting this satanic plot, and they praise the steadfast stance of all the order’s representatives, who stood as a solid wall against the agitators hostile to the leadership of Sidi Mounir. Their efforts thwarted the devious plan to circumvent the will of the three Boudchichian poles, all of whom agreed to appoint the Divine Pole Sidi Mounir as Sheikh of their noble order. They also value the composure and wisdom of Sheikh Sidi Mounir and the order’s decision-makers, which contributed to defeating the scheme backed by parties hostile to moderate Sufism. They likewise acknowledge the role of higher authorities who firmly supported legitimacy and swiftly restored matters to their rightful course.
Third: They call upon all disciples, Moroccan and foreign, and the public at large to reject the ideology that supports a coup against legitimacy, stressing that such extremist thinking contradicts the principles and aims of Sunni, moderate Sufism.
Fourth: They appreciate the support of other zawiyas, Sufi orders, scholars, and religious actors inside and outside Morocco for legitimacy, and they denounce any interference from any party in the affairs of the order. They affirm that any effort, money, or time spent in sowing discord within the order—committed to Allah’s Book and the Sunnah of His noble Messenger—will ultimately lead to failure and regret in this world and the next, by Allah’s will.
The Association hereby declares its strong opposition to any deviation from the divine and Muhammadan permissions, or from the legitimate testament, and reaffirms its commitment to the inheritor of the Muhammadan secret, the Divine Pole Sidi Mounir, as the legitimate Sheikh of the Qadiri Boudchichia Order. It remains on high alert during this critical and sensitive period, laden with conspiracies, which will only strengthen the bond between our Sheikh and his disciples—a spiritual, luminous relationship founded on love, submission, obedience, and belief in his apparent and inner knowledge, and his ability to understand, heal, and elevate their souls.
The Association reserves the right to take all legal and judicial measures and to mobilize all its efforts and resources to safeguard this non-transferable legitimacy, preserving the Sheikh designated in the testament, strengthening the order’s unity, organizational capacity, and spiritual influence in Morocco and worldwide, with firm attachment to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful—may Allah protect and heal him—as the protector of the faith and religion, guarantor of the nation’s unity and stability, and pillar of the moderate religiosity that has characterized Morocco throughout history under his wise leadership.
May Allah protect our Commander of the Faithful and shield him with the same protection with which He preserved His Holy Book. May He grant joy to His Majesty through His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Hassan, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Khadija, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, and all the members of the noble royal family. Indeed, He is All-Hearing, Responsive.
“Indeed, those who pledge allegiance to you, [O Muhammad], are actually pledging allegiance to Allah. The Hand of Allah is over their hands. So he who breaks his word only breaks it to the detriment of himself. And he who fulfills what he has covenanted with Allah – He will grant him a great reward.”
