“Open Days” Hosts “Aman”… “Police” Magazine Reveals Details of the 6th Edition in a Special Dossier

Rabat – In a move to document its achievements and deepen communication with the public, the 54th issue of “Police Magazine,” published by the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), has dedicated a comprehensive dossier to the 6th edition of the National Security Open Days, shedding light on this major national event which garnered widespread attention.

Under the title “National Security Open Days: Integrating Proximity and Citizen-Oriented Policing,” the issue takes the reader on an exclusive tour behind the scenes of the event hosted in the city of El Jadida. The event was highlighted by the official ceremony commemorating the 69th anniversary of the founding of the National Security, held under the theme “Proud to Serve a Timeless Nation and a Glorious Throne.”

“Aman”: A Smart Patrol Car Outlining the Future of Policing

In its analysis section, the magazine unveiled the latest innovation of the security establishment: the first smart patrol car, fully developed by the DGSN and named “Aman” (Security). This vehicle embodies a new concept in public space security management. Designed by the DGSN’s engineering and technical teams, “Aman” is equipped with advanced systems for real-time data collection, analysis, and transmission, ensuring rapid response and operational effectiveness in the field. After several months of rigorous testing, “Aman” is now ready for deployment, integrating into the DGSN’s security infrastructure and enhancing its operational capabilities.

El Jadida: A Distinguished Host of a National Event

The magazine dedicated a special section to the city of El Jadida, which hosted this large-scale event, highlighting how its historical and cultural status was showcased through the event’s unique visual identity. Articles also detailed the exhibition spaces and pavilions designated for dialogue and reflection, which served as a platform for direct interaction between citizens and police officers.

Record-Breaking Success and Community Engagement

In its editorial for the May 2025 issue, “Police Magazine” highlighted the resounding success of this edition, which attracted no fewer than 2.4 million visitors over just five days. This massive turnout, representing all segments of society from El Jadida and the wider region, underscores the esteemed position of the police force in the public consciousness and citizens’ genuine desire to learn about its duties and skills up close.

The DGSN affirms that this initiative is not merely a showcase event but reflects a steadfast commitment to a “shared security” approach, based on constructive exchange between citizens and their police force, with the aim of improving security services and adapting them to the actual needs of the community.

Inspiring Generations and Honoring a Legacy

Beyond its communicative goals, the Open Days aim to inspire Moroccan youth and encourage them to pursue a career within the National Security, by introducing them to the diverse specializations the institution offers, be they legal, technical, social, or scientific.

The issue also recalled the symbolic significance of May 16, 1956, the date commemorating the establishment of the National Security following Morocco’s independence. It emphasized that this milestone represents a celebration of a rich legacy and an embodiment of a strong will towards evolution, modernization, and innovation to keep pace with contemporary security challenges.

On this occasion, an official ceremony was held at the Mohammed VI Exhibition Center in El Jadida, attended by over 500 national and foreign figures, reflecting the importance Morocco attaches to its security institution and its pivotal role in the stability of the state.
