Live from the Scene / Eyewitness Recounts Details of the Crash of the Royal Air Forces Aircraft

Fez, July 28, 2025 – “Fas News” has learned from informed sources that the military aircraft accident that occurred this morning at Fez Saiss Airport resulted in the martyrdom of two officers from the Royal Air Forces, one holding the rank of Major and the other Captain.

According to the same sources, the accident happened precisely at 8:48 a.m., when a training aircraft of the “Alpha Jet” type, coming from a training flight at the Meknes Air Base, crashed.

The sources clarified that the tragic accident took place while the two martyrs were performing a training maneuver known as “Touch and Go.” This procedure involves landing the aircraft on the runway, briefly touching down, and immediately taking off again without a full stop. The fatal incident occurred during the takeoff phase, with the plane at a very low altitude, which explains why the pilots, may God have mercy on them, were unable to use the ejection seats to save their lives.

Immediately following the accident, a special committee was formed by the relevant authorities to investigate the precise causes that led to this tragedy.

In this context, the Royal Armed Forces express their deepest condolences and sympathy to the families and relatives of the two martyrs, praying to Almighty God to envelop them in His vast mercy, grant them spacious gardens in Paradise, and inspire their families with patience and solace.
