Moroccan Football Federation Terminates French Coach Over Harassment and Misconduct Allegations

Rabat, Morocco – June 2025 – The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has officially terminated the contract of a French coach who was supervising youth categories at training centers, following serious allegations of sexual harassment and alcohol abuse at the Maâmoura National Training Complex.

According to details reported by Assabah newspaper, the coach had previously worked at the Federal Center in Saidia, where he faced accusations of harassing a female official and several players from the women’s football division. These complaints prompted parents to file formal reports with the Federation.

In response, the coach was relocated to Rabat and assigned to train the U-12 national team, but allegations resurfaced—particularly during the “Study & Sport” program at Maâmoura—where he was again accused of inappropriate behavior toward minor female players and making false promises of marriage.

Faced with this accumulation of misconduct, the technical directorate made the decision to permanently terminate his contract, in what has been described as a decisive step to protect youth players and safeguard the integrity of national training centers.

The FRMF is expected to issue an official statement to clarify the circumstances and outline accountability measures for educational and administrative oversight, in accordance with the sports ethics charter and to ensure the safety of all participants.
