A tragic accident occurred this evening at the 5 July Stadium involving approximately 15 supporters of the MC Alger football team who fell from the upper stands. The incident resulted in the death of one fan, while the others sustained injuries of varying severity.
The injured were promptly transported to the hospital to receive medical treatment, amid widespread sorrow among the team’s fans and the football community.
We pray for the deceased’s soul to rest in peace and wish a speedy recovery to all the injured. Indeed, we belong to God and to Him we shall return.
