Air Raid Sirens Sound in Northern Israel Following Iranian Missile Launch

Air raid sirens were triggered Tuesday evening in northern Israel after Iranian missiles were fired towards Israeli territory, according to the Israeli military.

In a statement, the Israeli army said, “A short while ago, sirens sounded in several areas of Israel following the detection of missiles launched from Iran towards the State of Israel.”

The Home Front Command (Civil Defense) clarified that the alert, urging residents to seek shelter, covered most cities and towns in the northern part of the country.

International Warnings and Rising Tensions

Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron warned Tuesday that any attempt to change the regime in Iran through war would lead to “chaos” within the country. He made these remarks during a press briefing on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Canada.

Macron announced that upon his return from Canada on Wednesday, he would chair a defense council to discuss the conflict between Iran and Israel and its implications for French nationals and military bases in the region.

He said this would be the second defense council since the conflict began last Friday, focusing on “the security of our nationals, the assessment and evolution of the threat, and any additional initiatives that may need to be taken.”

Earlier Tuesday morning, former U.S. President Donald Trump escalated his rhetoric against Tehran, stating that the United States “knows exactly where” Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is hiding but has no plans to kill him “for now.”

These developments highlight a dangerous escalation in regional tensions amid growing international concerns over the conflict’s impact on stability in the Middle East.
