International – Le cabinet de sécurité israélien a approuvé, dimanche, le cadre juridique autorisant le déploiement de la Force internationale de stabilisation (ISF) dans la bande de Gaza. Cette décision s’inscrit dans le cadre des efforts visant à soutenir la stabilité et à préparer les conditions d’une phase de transition dans le territoire, selon Reuters, citant un responsable israélien.
Selon la même source, cette force internationale sera composée d’environ 200 membres issus de pays qualifiés de « partenaires », dont le Maroc et l’Ouganda. Ils seront déployés dans des zones de la bande de Gaza qui ne sont pas sous contrôle israélien. Le déploiement de chaque unité restera toutefois soumis à l’autorisation préalable des autorités israéliennes.

Dans sa première réaction à cette décision, Nikolay Mladenov, Haut représentant du Conseil pour la paix à Gaza, a estimé que l’adoption de ce cadre juridique constitue « une étape essentielle » dans la mise en œuvre des dispositions convenues pour stabiliser le territoire, soutenir le processus de désarmement et créer les conditions nécessaires à l’instauration d’une administration palestinienne de transition sous la supervision du Comité national pour l’administration de Gaza.
L’inclusion du Maroc parmi les pays participants intervient après que le Royaume a officiellement annoncé, le 22 juillet 2026 à Rabat, son adhésion à l’initiative de la Force internationale de stabilisation, dans le cadre de sa contribution aux efforts internationaux visant à renforcer la sécurité et la stabilité dans la bande de Gaza.
La contribution marocaine devrait comprendre l’envoi d’officiers supérieurs des Forces Armées Royales au sein du commandement conjoint de la force, ainsi que la participation de cadres de la Gendarmerie Royale et de la Direction Générale de la Sûreté Nationale (DGSN). Elle prévoit également la mise en place d’un hôpital militaire de campagne afin de fournir des soins médicaux et une assistance humanitaire aux habitants de Gaza.
Cette évolution intervient dans le contexte des efforts internationaux visant à consolider le cessez-le-feu, à renforcer la réponse humanitaire et à préparer les conditions d’une période de transition dans la bande de Gaza, alors que les initiatives diplomatiques se poursuivent pour parvenir à un règlement durable de la situation.
Israel Approves Deployment of an International Force in Gaza, with Morocco Among the First Participating Countries
International – Israel’s Security Cabinet approved on Sunday the legal framework allowing the deployment of the International Stabilization Force (ISF) in the Gaza Strip. The move is part of broader efforts to promote stability and prepare the conditions for a transitional phase in the territory, according to Reuters, citing an Israeli official.
According to the same source, the international force will consist of approximately 200 personnel from what were described as “friendly” countries, including Morocco and Uganda. They will be deployed in areas of the Gaza Strip that are not under Israeli control, while the deployment of each unit will remain subject to prior approval by the Israeli authorities.
In his first reaction to the decision, Nikolay Mladenov, High Representative of the Council for Peace in Gaza, described the adoption of the legal framework as “an essential step” in implementing the agreed arrangements aimed at stabilizing the territory, supporting the disarmament process, and creating the conditions for the establishment of a transitional Palestinian administration under the supervision of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza.
Morocco’s inclusion among the participating countries follows the Kingdom’s official announcement on July 22, 2026, in Rabat, that it had joined the International Stabilization Force initiative as part of its contribution to international efforts to support security and stability in the Gaza Strip.
Morocco’s planned contribution is expected to include the deployment of senior officers from the Royal Armed Forces to serve within the force’s joint command, along with personnel from the Royal Gendarmerie and the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN). The Kingdom also plans to establish a field military hospital to provide medical care and humanitarian assistance to Gaza’s residents.
This development comes amid ongoing international efforts to consolidate the ceasefire, strengthen the humanitarian response, and prepare the conditions for a transitional period in Gaza, while diplomatic initiatives continue in search of a sustainable resolution to the situation in the territory.
