Sudden Fire Shakes Shisha Cafe in Fez.. Material Losses and Investigation Underway

The Al-Farah district in the city of Fez was rattled on Sunday night/Monday morning by a sudden fire that broke out in a shisha cafe, causing a state of panic in the area before civil protection elements managed to bring the situation under control.

According to exclusive information received by the newspaper, it is likely that high temperatures, along with the charcoal used for shisha smoking, were the main cause behind the blaze. The fire did not result in any physical injuries or fatalities, with damages limited to material losses.

The flames extended to affect the facade of the residential apartment located above the cafe, which heightened the concerns of neighboring residents. However, the swift and effective intervention by civil protection units enabled the extinguishing of the fire and prevented its spread, thereby avoiding a worsening of the situation.

Following this incident, the relevant authorities have opened an investigation to precisely determine the circumstances and causes of the fire, under the supervision of the competent public prosecution, to ensure the uncovering of all facts related to this fire and prevent the recurrence of such incidents in the future.
