Royal Police Institute in Kenitra Hosts Ceremony Honoring Decorated Police Officers

Kenitra, Morocco – The Royal Police Institute in Kenitra hosted on Saturday, May 24, a ceremony celebrating both serving and retired police officers who were bestowed with high royal decorations by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist and support him.

Mr. Abdellatif Hammouchi, the Director-General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance (DGSN), personally oversaw the presentation of these high royal decorations to the 353 male and female officers. These decorated individuals serve across various central and decentralized departments of the General Directorate of National Security.

On this occasion, the Director-General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance delivered a keynote speech, emphasizing that this ceremony is an “expression of solemn celebration and profound appreciation for the abundant royal benevolence and His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s continued high care for the National Security family.” He added that this recognition is “in appreciation from His generous Majesty for the commitment, dedication, loyalty to national values, and selflessness displayed by men and women of security in serving the public good.”

Mr. Hammouchi affirmed that “the General Directorate of National Security was keen for the decoration ceremony to be collective, held within the Royal Police Institute in Kenitra, to renew acquaintance with them, celebrate with them, and to eternalize this memory in the hearts of all those honored by the high royal satisfaction.”

He further elaborated in his speech that “this royal decoration embodies the professional maturity of all those honored, which places an additional responsibility on them to mentor new generations and work on their professional and cognitive development, thereby ensuring investment in building future security competencies.”

The Director-General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance urged the male and female officers decorated with royal honors to “live up to this high royal distinction and to His Majesty’s good expectations for the National Security family, whom He entrusts with the security of His loyal subjects.”
