Five partnership agreements were signed between the National Initiative for Human Development and its partners, including local institutions and associations, on Tuesday at the Youth Platform in Douiyat, Moulay Yacoub.
This initiative is part of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the launch of the National Initiative for Human Development, which aims to improve the social and economic conditions of vulnerable groups in rural areas.
The first agreement concerns organizing multidisciplinary medical caravans as part of the human capital program, in cooperation with the regional delegation of health and social protection and the Health and Development Aid Initiatives Association. The project was allocated a budget of 500,000 dirhams and aims to provide healthcare services to around 4,000 women and 1,000 children under the age of five, including preventive diagnostics and awareness about diseases affecting mothers and children.
The second agreement focuses on encouraging youth entrepreneurship and was signed with the Moroccan Center for Studies and Research on Social Enterprises. A sum of 496,000 dirhams has been allocated to support income-generating projects by providing personal and technical support to those involved in the business field. The project aims to empower young people to create independent businesses that contribute to improving their income and economic integration.
Primary schools in the region will benefit from a robotics and programming caravan as part of the third agreement, signed between the regional directorate of National Education, Early Education, and Sports and the “Matrix” Association. A budget of 600,000 dirhams has been allocated for this initiative, which aims to develop students’ skills in technology and IT. Approximately 4,800 students are expected to benefit from this initiative.
The fourth agreement is aimed at improving maternal and child health services. It includes funding and refurbishing the Ludaine Maternity House in partnership with the “Insaaf” Association for the Protection of Mothers and Children. A sum of 350,000 dirhams has been allocated for this initiative, which aims to improve the health conditions for pregnant women and mothers in the area.
The fifth agreement aims to support the maternity house in the commune of Sidi Daoud, in partnership with the “Tasneem” Association for the Protection of Mothers and Children. Around 300 women will benefit from this project, which seeks to enhance healthcare services in the region and improve maternal health services.
The National Initiative for Human Development continues to strengthen developmental achievements in various vulnerable areas. These agreements reflect the commitment of local and institutional partners to provide the necessary support to improve the quality of life and elevate the living conditions of citizens.
