Casablanca, May 18, 2025 – In a new blow against drug and psychotropic substance trafficking networks, elements of the prefectural judicial police service in Casablanca, in close coordination with the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), successfully arrested a person on the evening of Sunday, May 18th. The individual is suspected of involvement in a case related to the possession and trafficking of significant quantities of drugs, and was caught in flagrante delicto.

The suspect was arrested in Casablanca while caught red-handed in possession of and trafficking drugs. The search and seizure operation conducted by the security elements resulted in the discovery of a large shipment of hallucinatory pills in his possession, totaling 4,400 pills of the “Ecstasy” type, in addition to a quantity of cocaine weighing 77 grams.

A check of the suspect’s record in the national security database revealed that he was the subject of a national wanted notice, issued by the judicial police services in Casablanca itself, on suspicion of his involvement in another criminal case related to theft.

The suspect has been subjected to an in-depth judicial investigation, which is currently being conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecution.
