Press Release
This Sunday morning, May 18th, the Director-General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi, received the widows and parents of police officers who died in the line of duty, sacrificing themselves to ensure citizens’ security and safeguard their property.
This reception, which is part of the ongoing social programs for members of the National Security family, took place at the Mohammed VI Exhibition Center in El Jadida, which is hosting the sixth edition of the National Security Open Days.
Ten widows among those received were handed housing units in the cities they had previously expressed a desire to reside in, while the parents of two fallen officers were each given a financial grant of thirty thousand dirhams.
This social initiative comes to reinforce the system of social services benefiting the widows and families of fallen officers, which the Mohammed VI Foundation for Social Welfare of National Security Staff continuously strives to support and consolidate, ensuring that all its members benefit from an integrated social environment.
It is worth noting that the Mohammed VI Foundation for Social Welfare of National Security Staff annually allocates additional financial support of 15,000 dirhams for each child of fallen officers, which continues until the completion of their university studies, in addition to free summer camping with a financial grant, and a regular financial grant for Eid al-Adha.
To further strengthen these rights and services, the parents of fallen officers have been granted an honorary membership card, which gives them all the rights and privileges extended to other members, with the Mohammed VI Foundation for Social Welfare undertaking the processing of all health files related to the families of fallen officers.
These social initiatives embody the special care that the Directorate General of National Security consistently gives to its male and female staff, in implementation of the supreme royal benevolence that His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, bestows upon the National Security family.
