Rabat: The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued its weather forecast for Wednesday, May 14, 2025, indicating a decrease in temperatures across several regions of the Kingdom.
The directorate stated in its bulletin that the weather will be as follows:
- Rain or Thundery Showers at Times: These phenomena will affect the Rif, the Middle Atlas, the Oriental region, the phosphate and Oulmès plateaus, the Saïs area, and the plains north of Safi, with locally heavy rainfall possible.
- Partly Cloudy Skies with Scattered Showers: Partly cloudy skies with scattered light rain are expected over the Tangier region, the Mediterranean coast, the High Atlas, and the northwest of the Saharan provinces.
- Relatively Hot Weather: Relatively hot weather will persist over the extreme southeast and south of the country.
- Fairly Strong to Locally Strong Wind Gusts: Fairly strong to locally strong wind gusts are anticipated along the Mediterranean coast, the Oriental region, the Atlas Mountains, the central plains, and the southern provinces, with local dust storms possible.
- Minimum Temperatures: Will range from 03 to 09°C over the Atlas, the Rif, and the high plateaus of the Oriental region, from 12 to 17°C along the coasts, the southeast, and the Saharan provinces, and from 07 to 13°C elsewhere.
- Daytime Temperatures: Will decrease over the highlands, the south of the Oriental region, and the south of the country, while increasing in other areas.
- Sea Conditions: The Mediterranean Sea will be slightly choppy to choppy, the Strait of Gibraltar slightly choppy to choppy, the area between Safi and Tarfaya will be choppy, becoming locally choppy to rough in the evening between Agadir and Tan Tan, and slightly choppy to choppy elsewhere.
