Ifrane – April 24, 2025 – Within the framework of the National Program for Rural Health and the activation of the Provincial Plan for Mobile Medical Units, aimed at bringing health services closer to the local population and supporting health institutions to provide necessary care and improve access to primary healthcare services in rural areas, the Delegation of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in Ifrane, in coordination with the provincial authorities and rural territorial communes, and under the supervision of the Regional Directorate of Health and Social Protection in the Fez-Meknes region, continued its series of micro-health campaigns for the benefit of the rural population in the communes comprising the province, according to a practical work program spanning two months.

The objectives sought from this program include:

  • Reproductive Health: Monitoring pregnancies, encouraging access to childbirth in equipped maternity units, and early detection of breast and cervical cancer among the targeted women.
  • Chronic Diseases: Early detection of diabetes and high blood pressure among at-risk groups, and improving the follow-up of cases to avoid complications.
  • Communicable Diseases: Early detection of HIV/AIDS and viral hepatitis among the targeted populations, aiming for early intervention and limiting the spread of infection.
  • School Health: Conducting screenings for visual impairment among students and providing necessary corrections to improve their academic performance.
