Moulay Yacoub – Within the framework of activating the regional communication program for the national campaign to raise awareness about the importance of pregnancy follow-up, launched by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in partnership with the National Initiative for Human Development1 under the slogan “Let’s Hurry and Complete Pregnancy Visits…Let’s Preserve the Health of Mother and Child,” spanning from April 7th to May 8th, 2025, the Provincial Delegation of Health and Social Protection in the Moulay Yacoub region organized intensive awareness sessions on the importance of pregnancy monitoring on Thursday, April 10th, 2025, at the National Initiative for Human Development space in Ain Kansara.
The organization of these sessions came in close coordination and cooperation with the Provincial Committee of the National Initiative for Human Development in Moulay Yacoub, and parallel awareness sessions on the same topic were also organized in the maternity department of the delegation.
The Provincial Delegation of Health and Social Protection in Moulay Yacoub was keen to enhance this awareness meeting by providing a range of quality health services for the pregnant women attending. They benefited from ultrasound examinations, necessary laboratory tests, in addition to early detection campaigns for breast and cervical cancer.
This national campaign aims to strengthen the achievements made and improve the services provided in the field of pregnancy follow-up, considering it a fundamental pillar for reducing maternal and newborn mortality rates. The campaign also seeks to highlight the significant importance of the first thousand days of a child’s life and its role in the development of rising generations, based on the fact that the health of mothers and children remains a top priority for the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, which has achieved significant results in this area at the national level.
