As part of efforts to enhance health awareness, the Regional Directorate of Health and Social Protection in Moulay Yacoub, in coordination with the Local Scientific Council, organized an awareness session on measles yesterday, Friday, March 7, 2025, following Friday prayers, at the Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Mosque in the Ras El-Ma area.
This session is part of a joint communication program between the two institutions, aimed at raising awareness among women about the ways to prevent measles and its complications. The participating doctor and two nurses focused on the importance of vaccination as the most effective preventive measure to ensure both individual and community protection against the disease. They also encouraged mothers to check the vaccination status of their children, especially those under the age of eighteen, to ensure they are fully vaccinated.
The session saw significant attendance, with 120 participants engaging actively in discussions, expressing their commitment to spreading awareness and contributing to the eradication of the disease within their communities.
It is worth noting that this session is part of a series of awareness campaigns that will be held in various mosques across the Moulay Yacoub region throughout the month of Ramadan, with the aim of promoting health culture and preventing infectious diseases.
