On the sidelines of the celebration of World Health Day, which falls on April 7th of each year, and within the framework of the national awareness campaign on the importance of pregnancy follow-up launched by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in partnership with the National Initiative for Human Development,1 under the slogan “Let’s Hurry and Complete Pregnancy Visits… Let’s Preserve the Health of Mother and Child,” running from April 7th to May 8th, 2025,
The Level II Health Center in the Ras El Ma urban hub, within the maternity department, organized awareness sessions on the importance of pregnancy follow-up, in coordination with a group of civil society organizations in the region.
The Provincial Delegation of Health and Social Protection in Moulay Yacoub has strengthened this awareness activity with a range of quality services, such as pregnant women benefiting from ultrasound screenings, laboratory tests, and screening for breast and cervical cancer.
It is worth noting that this campaign aims to consolidate achievements and improve services regarding pregnancy follow-up, considering it a fundamental lever for reducing maternal and newborn mortality rates, as well as highlighting the importance of the first 1000 days for the development of rising generations.
