A Scandalous Incident Shakes the Village of Kiko: Sexual Assaults on Minors Prompt the Human Rights Association in Boulemane to Call for a Strict Investigation and Accountability of the Perpetrators

The Moroccan Human Rights Association, Boulemane branch, expressed its strong condemnation of the horrifying incident that took place in the Kiko area near Boulemane, where several minors were sexually assaulted.

The association described the act as a heinous crime that cannot be justified under any circumstances, regardless of the relationship between the victims and the perpetrators.

In an official statement, the association explained that, in the wake of the incident—which spread widely on social media—members of the local office of the association traveled to the Kiko commune for a direct investigation into the details of the event.

The statement mentioned that the incident began when a student attempted suicide, prompting her family to file a complaint regarding threats made against their daughter by her friend, who threatened to publish an offensive video of her. Following the complaint, the Public Prosecution in Missour ordered an investigation, which led to the arrest of eight individuals, including five men and three students, who will be presented before the investigative judge in Fes.

The statement confirmed that the investigation is still ongoing, and the numbers of those involved may change, with more details expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.

Regarding the new developments, the Moroccan Human Rights Association, Boulemane branch, called on the Public Prosecution to issue an official statement to clarify the circumstances of the incident to the Moroccan public, given the significant media and human rights attention the case has received.

The association also emphasized the need for continued investigation of all suspects, calling for no leniency in the case and warning against any attempt to use political or financial influence to cover up the crime or close the case without accountability. It also rejected the idea of splitting the case into separate issues, stressing that it is one case and should be treated as a whole.

In conclusion, the association called for severe penalties to be imposed on the perpetrators in order to achieve deterrence and prevent the recurrence of such crimes in the future.
