On Saturday, March 15, 2025, officers from the Tangier Police Department successfully arrested an individual suspected of being involved in the possession and distribution of narcotics and psychotropic substances.
According to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security, the suspect was arrested in a residential area of Tangier, where a search uncovered 4,266 various types of medical narcotic pills, along with three electronic scales and a sum of money suspected to be the proceeds from the criminal activity.
Further investigation revealed that the suspect was wanted on a national level for his involvement in similar drug trafficking cases.
The suspect is now under judicial investigation, supervised by the competent public prosecutor’s office, to uncover all the details and circumstances of this case, and to determine whether there are any further criminal connections related to this activity.
