Police officers in Tangier arrested a suspect on the evening of Thursday, March 13, in connection with a deliberate hit-and-run accident.
According to available information, the suspect intentionally struck a motorcyclist with a light vehicle last Wednesday, causing injuries before fleeing the scene. The incident was captured on mobile phone cameras and widely circulated on social media.
Intensive investigations carried out by security authorities led to the identification and arrest of the suspect. The vehicle involved in the incident was also seized and placed in the municipal impound lot.
The suspect has been placed in police custody under judicial investigation supervised by the competent public prosecution to uncover all circumstances surrounding the incident and determine the true motives behind it.
