As part of efforts to promote participatory democracy and encourage youth involvement in local governance, the Ain Chekkef Municipality announced on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, the opening of applications for membership in the Youth Council. This advisory body serves as a platform for dialogue and consultation, focusing on youth-related issues and providing constructive proposals.

This initiative is based on Article 139 of the 2011 Constitution of the Kingdom of Morocco, as well as Dahir No. 1.15.85 issued on July 7, 2015, which enforces Organic Law No. 113.14 concerning municipalities. It also aligns with Articles 82 to 87 of the internal regulations of the Ain Chekkef Municipality.

Interested candidates can collect application forms from the Office of the Director of Municipal Services and must submit them to the registry office at the municipality’s headquarters between Thursday, March 13, and Wednesday, March 26, 2025. After the application period ends, a preliminary list of accepted candidates will be published, followed by direct meetings with the selection committee before the final list is announced.

It is important to note that membership in the Youth Council is voluntary, and members are expected to adhere to the council’s internal regulations and the municipality’s governance principles. This initiative aims to strengthen youth participation in decision-making, ensuring their role as key partners in local development and improving the quality of life within the municipality.
