Economic Boost for Fes-Meknes: Major Projects and International Agreements in 2025

In an exclusive statement to Fes News, Hamza Benabdallah, President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services for the Fes-Meknes region, outlined key highlights of the 2025 budget. He emphasized that the upcoming year will witness significant growth through major projects and strategic agreements aimed at strengthening the region’s economic dynamism.

Benabdallah highlighted the completion of the International Exhibition Space in Fes, a crucial addition to the region’s economic infrastructure. Additionally, the construction of the “Saïs” Business Center is set to begin. This center will house a new free coding school dedicated to talented youth in the field of IT, offering them structured training and opening up new career opportunities.

On an international level, the chamber’s upcoming agenda includes signing key agreements, notably one to establish a Moroccan-Senegalese Chamber of Commerce. Benabdallah sees tremendous growth potential in trade with Senegal, providing new opportunities for economic players to expand their activities.

Moreover, he announced that the Fes-Meknes Chamber is set to sign an agreement with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), making it the first in Morocco to take such a step. This initiative aims to open new economic opportunities for local businesses and enhance their presence in global markets.

At the local level, the chamber is working on agreements with regional institutions, including the Regional Investment Center, as well as other organizations. These partnerships aim to support local businesses and contribute to the region’s economic development.

In closing, Benabdallah praised the region’s new economic momentum under the leadership of Governor Moâd Jamai, affirming that the chamber—through its leadership and members—is committed to keeping pace with this progress and supporting economic growth across the region.
