Taza – On Friday, Mustafa Al-Moazza, the Governor of Taza Province, inaugurated the Civil Protection Open Day, organized by the Provincial Command of Civil Protection in celebration of World Civil Protection Day. This year’s event was held under the theme “Civil Protection: A Guarantee of Security and Safety for Citizens.”
The event was attended by members of parliament representing the province, local authorities, security officials, municipal council representatives, and members of civil society organizations.
During the ceremony, the Provincial Commander of Civil Protection in Taza presented a detailed report on the various interventions carried out by the unit. The event also featured an exhibition of firefighting and rescue equipment, showcasing the logistical resources used in emergency response operations. Additionally, Civil Protection personnel conducted live rescue demonstrations to highlight their preparedness in handling emergencies.
In his address, the Provincial Commander emphasized the crucial role of Civil Protection, which extends beyond emergency response to include efforts in preventive awareness and disaster preparedness. He also stressed the importance of international cooperation in strengthening civil protection capabilities.
The Open Day activities will continue on February 28 and March 1, welcoming the public and students from educational institutions. The program includes practical first-aid workshops and the distribution of awareness materials aimed at educating citizens on safety measures and risk prevention.
