The highway between Taza and Fez witnessed on Tuesday a serious traffic accident after a passenger bus collided with a truck intended for transporting goods, leaving 20 people with injuries of varying severity.
According to identical sources, the accident occurred near the Bouhlou roundabout in the Tahla community, Taza region, around 10:00 p.m. The bus was carrying 25 passengers coming from Nador and heading towards Fez, before the accident, which also caused the truck to overturn and injure its driver, in addition to severe damage to the front of the bus.
Upon learning of the incident, local and regional authorities rushed to the scene, where the injured were taken to the Ibn Baja regional hospital in Taza to receive the necessary treatments, while the Royal Gendarmerie launched investigations to uncover the circumstances and determine the causes of the accident.
It is noteworthy that this road section had previously witnessed a tragic accident on November 22, 2022, which killed 12 people and injured 33 others, after a passenger bus overturned near the city of Taza.
