A reliable source within the Fez municipality has revealed to Fes News a troubling situation faced by employees, who are allegedly subjected to pressure and retaliation by certain elected officials when they refuse to comply with decisions that could lead to legal breaches.
The source explained that some elected officials exert intense pressure on employees. When these employees refuse to carry out questionable decisions due to fears of legal repercussions, they are punished and retaliated against in various ways.
The source emphasized, “If Governor Mouad El Jamai truly values the employees, he must free them from this tyranny instead of merely distributing memos that force us to deal with a group of elected officials, some of whom are under judicial investigation.”
The source also pointed out that employee absenteeism has become a form of silent protest against this unhealthy situation, which disrupts the functioning of the municipal administration and harms the interests of citizens.
