As part of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection’s commemoration of the Maghreb Days of School Health for the year 2025, the Regional Directorate of Health and Social Protection in the Fez-Meknes region, along with other regions of the Kingdom, is participating in this event in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports, and the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation. The celebration is held under the theme:
“The Importance of Vaccination as a Key Safe and Effective Intervention in Public Health.”
The activities commemorating these Maghreb Days will extend over a full week, from February 24 to March 1, 2025, across various educational institutions in the region. This event aims to contribute to strengthening efforts to curb the spread of epidemics and prevent diseases targeted by the national vaccination program in school and university settings.
In this context, the Regional Directorate of Health and Social Protection in the Fez-Meknes region, in cooperation with its partners and various stakeholders, is organizing a range of activities, including:
- Incorporating awareness and sensitization sessions involving stakeholders from the National Education services, universities, and university residences, in both the public and private sectors. These sessions are aimed at students, educational and administrative staff, as well as representatives of parents’ associations, focusing on the importance of vaccination as a safe and effective tool for preventing epidemics and deadly diseases.
- Coordinating with the press and audiovisual media to produce media reports, articles, and awareness programs highlighting the importance of vaccination and its role in promoting public health.
- Organizing roundtables, meetings, and cultural activities in collaboration with civil society actors to raise awareness about the importance of vaccination as a fundamental preventive measure.
This event is part of ongoing efforts to enhance health awareness within the community, particularly in school and university environments, and to support national programs aimed at achieving comprehensive vaccination coverage, thereby contributing to public health protection and improved quality of life.
