As part of “Riaya 2024/2025” operation and in implementation of the practical program to reduce the effects of cold waves and frost in threatened villages, the Provincial Delegation of Health and Social Protection in Pullman organized a multi-specialty health caravan on Saturday, February 8, 2025, for the benefit of the residents of “Ait Hassan” villages belonging to the rural community of Oulad Ali Youssef in the Otat El Haj district[6]. This campaign was conducted under the supervision of the Regional Directorate of Health and Social Protection in the Fez-Meknes region, in coordination with the regional and local authorities, and in partnership with the local association “Abrid Amsawad” for rural development in Oulad Ali, the “Club Élite UEMF” in Fez, and the University Hospital Center of Fez.
The Provincial Delegation of Health and Social Protection in Pullman mobilized significant logistical and human resources, with the participation of specialist doctors in various fields, including: cardiology and vascular diseases, pediatrics, gynecology and obstetrics, gastroenterology, urology, ophthalmology, dermatology, dental surgery, in addition to general practitioners, nursing, administrative, and technical staff.
Key Achievements of the Campaign:
- Medical Examinations: 653 people benefited from medical examinations, including 416 specialized medical examinations and 237 general medical examinations.
- Oral and Dental Surgery: 70 examinations were performed in the field of oral and dental surgery.
- Nursing Examinations: 594 nursing examinations and medical screenings were conducted, including early detection of breast and cervical cancer, visual acuity monitoring, pregnancy monitoring, blood pressure measurement, and diabetes screening.
- Specialized Examinations: 34 examinations were performed using ultrasound and 42 electrocardiograms (ECG).
Health Awareness and Vaccination:
As part of the national vaccination campaign against measles (“Bouhamroun”), awareness sessions were organized for 240 beneficiaries, with the aim of promoting health awareness and ensuring broad vaccination coverage.
Feedback:
This health caravan was well-received by the residents of the area, who benefited from medical and nursing examinations, in addition to the free distribution of essential medicines according to medical prescriptions. The residents expressed their gratitude for this initiative, which contributed to improving the health services provided to them, especially in remote areas.
This campaign reflects the continuous efforts to promote health care and provide medical services to citizens in areas suffering from a lack of health infrastructure, with a focus on prevention and awareness as essential tools for improving public health.
