In an important step towards enhancing environmental awareness and achieving a balance between education and the environment, a tree planting initiative was launched on Sunday morning at the Al-Khawarizmi Secondary School in Otaat Al-Haj, located in the Boulemane Province. This environmental project aims to improve the aesthetic appeal of the school and foster local stakeholders’ involvement in environmental preservation.
Mustafa Jarrari, the school’s director, explained that the project is part of the school’s role in connecting future generations with their environment. He emphasized that the tree planting initiative goes beyond beautification; it is a strategic move reflecting the school’s strong commitment to the surrounding ecosystem. He further noted that this effort aims to create a healthy and clean educational environment that improves the quality of life within the school while enhancing students’ connection to their natural surroundings. This, in turn, encourages their active participation in preserving this vital resource.
Mr. Jarrari also highlighted the collaboration with key local partners, including the local authorities, the municipal council, and the Water and Forests Directorate. Their combined efforts have helped create a green and beautiful space in front of the school, improving its attractiveness and promoting students’ psychological well-being.
In related news, Mustafa Jarrari pointed out that the school had also undergone significant expansion, with new classrooms recently completed. These additions are set to be used at the start of the second semester of the current academic year. These improvements are part of a comprehensive development plan aimed at enhancing the quality of education and the educational reception at the institution.
