As part of the “Warm Winter 2024-2025” campaign, launched by National Cooperation in collaboration with local authorities in the Moulay Yacoub region, a field operation was held on Monday, January 6, 2025, to assist homeless individuals during the severe cold wave affecting the area.
The Regional Delegation of National Cooperation organized several field campaigns to rescue individuals from the streets, directing them to the Haj Abdelhadi Tajmouati Institution for the care of the elderly. The institution provided essential services such as shelter, meals, clothing, and medical and paramedical care.
In parallel with these services, social research is being conducted with the beneficiaries to find sustainable integration solutions, either through specialized institutions or cooperation with their families. A vigilance and monitoring cell has also been established by the Regional Delegation of National Cooperation, which works continuously in coordination with local authorities and civil society to carry out urgent field interventions.
These campaigns will continue throughout the cold waves, with the Regional Delegation of National Cooperation pledging to make extra efforts to ensure the health and safety of this vulnerable group. Additionally, the region will soon benefit from an emergency social rescue center, a crucial addition to the efforts to provide temporary care for individuals living on the streets, in collaboration with the Fes-Meknes Regional Council and the Moulay Yacoub Provincial Administration.
