The Moroccan Ministry of Health and Social Protection launched today a comprehensive national campaign to review and update vaccinations for children under 18 years of age, in collaboration with several government sectors.
The campaign, which began today Monday, October 28, and continues until November 17, 2024, aims to strengthen immunity in more than 95% of children against serious infectious diseases, including polio, diphtheria, whooping cough, measles, and tetanus.
A senior source at the Ministry of Health explained that the campaign covers both schoolchildren and non-school-going children, where vaccination records will be checked for students in schools, while children under five and those not enrolled in schools will be received at primary healthcare centers.
The ministry has mobilized all human and logistical resources to ensure the success of this national campaign and has launched a comprehensive communication program to raise awareness about the importance of vaccination at both national and regional levels.
The Ministry of Health appealed to all Moroccan families, especially parents and guardians, to actively participate in this national campaign to ensure their children’s protection against dangerous infectious diseases, confirming that all vaccines provided are included in the approved national vaccination schedule.
This initiative comes as part of the kingdom’s ongoing efforts to promote public health and combat infectious diseases, and to consolidate the achievements made in the field of vaccination over the past years.
