During the monthly accountability session in the House of Councillors, Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch stressed his government’s real will to accelerate employment programs, reduce unemployment rates, and provide decent job opportunities in a way that ensures equality and equal opportunities in accessing a job that is considered permanent and sustainable.
On the topic of “social dialogue as a mechanism to improve the conditions of working people and enhance the performance of the national economy,” Akhannouch explained that the government has made social dialogue an essential platform, as it places employment issues at the top of its priorities during the next phase as an urgent national priority.
He noted that the social dialogue has gone beyond traditional discussions on labor issues, and has become “a real gateway to respond to the challenges of inequality and social justice, and a frame of reference for discussing strategies to develop Morocco’s economic model and social relations with unions and employers.”
