The National Professional Football League announced on Tuesday a series of regulatory adjustments affecting the final stages of the Professional League, the Throne Cup, and the Excellence Cup. This came during a meeting dedicated to discussing the final arrangements for these competitions.
During the meeting, it was unanimously agreed to move up the dates for the Round of 32 and the Round of 16 of the Throne Cup, which will now take place immediately after the international break. Additionally, it was decided that the Professional League’s first and second divisions will resume competition starting April 11, 2025.
Regarding the Excellence Cup, the league approved a change to the final rounds’ format, shifting from the traditional two-legged system to a single-elimination match. This decision aims to conclude the tournament by the end of the current sports season.
