In the context of a Ramadan gathering organized by the Justice and Development Youth at the beginning of this week, Abdelilah Benkirane, the Secretary-General of the Justice and Development Party (PJD), delivered a speech addressing a range of important issues concerning the youth and Moroccan society at large.
Benkirane expressed deep concern about the current state of the Moroccan government under the leadership of Aziz Akhannouch, describing it as a government lacking trust. He emphasized that the government has failed to meet the expectations of the citizens, despite allocating large sums of money. Benkirane pointed out that the loss of trust in the government is a result of its lack of transparency in dealing with the public and its failure to provide fundamental solutions to the problems faced by Moroccans.
He also noted that the Moroccan people, particularly the younger generation, are beginning to feel the need to return to the period when PJD was in power, pointing out that the atmosphere was better when his party was in government. He remarked that many people, especially the youth, are questioning the possibility of returning to the days when the Justice and Development Party was known for its integrity and transparency.
Benkirane emphasized that the current situation requires everyone to take responsibility, both in their personal and professional lives. He called on all individuals to work diligently and strive to face the economic and social challenges. He also warned that global conditions have changed drastically, with political and economic developments across many regions of the world, which require greater preparation from everyone to face the future.
In conclusion, Benkirane stressed the importance of national unity and the need for both citizens and officials to commit to the values of faith, determination, and sacrifice during this critical phase that Morocco and the Arab world are going through.
