The National Office of the National University of the Justice Sector, affiliated to the National Confederation of Labour in Morocco, announced the resumption of its struggle by calling for a comprehensive national strike in all courts, judicial centers, sub-directorates of justice, as well as archives and preservation centers, scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, July 9, 10 and 11, 2024, as well as Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, July 16, 17 and 18, 2024, in addition to Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, July 16, 17 and 18, 2024.
The union emphasized that this strike comes in response to what it described as the government’s lack of seriousness in meeting the demands of clerks and its delay in implementing the recommendations of the National Charter for the Reform of the Justice System, which received the King’s approval, especially with regard to administrative reforms in the judiciary.
The union also noted its appreciation for the efforts made by the Minister of Justice and his positive interaction in the previous stages, but held other government sectors responsible for the blockage that hindered the realization of the necessary amendments to the statute.
The syndicate held the government responsible for the delay in issuing the statute of the clerk’s office, despite the agreements previously reached in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, and expressed its rejection of the government’s inconsistency in dealing with statutes.
