News/ The Fez Community Council is preparing during the May session to dismiss four of its members and the February list

The agenda of the next session of the Fez City Council includes a point related to the dismissal of 4 members of the council in accordance with Article 67 of Organic Law 113.14 relating to local communities.

This point relates to the dismissal of 4 members of the Fez City Council due to their absence from three consecutive sessions or five intermittent sessions. Among the dismissed members, according to a numbered source, are the former mayor of the city, Hamid Chabat, and his wife, members of the Citizenship Team of the Fez Council, Representative Sarah Al Khader, Vice President of the Sais District Council, a member of the Fez City Council, and then an advisor from the Progressive and Socialist Team.

Hamid Chabat’s dismissal comes after his absence from more than 5 sessions, as he chose to leave the city of Fez and settle outside the country, specifically in Turkey.

The Fez City Council had previously witnessed the dismissal of 5 council members during the February session, which sparked a heated debate between the majority and the opposition at the time.
