Rabat – Aéroports du Maroc, anciennement l’Office national des aéroports (ONDA), a annoncé le lancement d’un nouveau service permettant aux voyageurs d’utiliser une carte d’embarquement entièrement numérique, accessible directement depuis leur smartphone, dans le cadre de la modernisation continue des services et de la digitalisation de l’expérience de voyage dans les aéroports marocains.
Dans un communiqué officiel, l’institution a indiqué que ce nouveau système, baptisé « Pax Check », s’inscrit dans les solutions numériques destinées à simplifier les formalités de voyage. Les passagers peuvent désormais accéder aux salles d’embarquement en utilisant un QR Code, sans avoir à imprimer ou à présenter une carte d’embarquement papier.
Selon la même source, le processus débute après l’enregistrement en ligne via l’application de la compagnie aérienne. Le passager reçoit ensuite sa carte d’embarquement numérique sur son téléphone, tandis que la compagnie aérienne vérifie au préalable les documents requis conformément aux réglementations en vigueur, permettant ainsi un passage plus fluide aux points de contrôle et aux portiques automatiques.
Aéroports du Maroc a souligné que l’adoption de ce système contribuera à réduire l’utilisation des documents papier, à faciliter les déplacements des voyageurs dans les terminaux et à maintenir les normes de sûreté et de sécurité, tout en respectant les réglementations nationales et internationales encadrant le transport aérien.
L’institution a également précisé que le déploiement du service « Pax Check » se fera progressivement auprès des compagnies aériennes répondant aux exigences techniques et opérationnelles requises. Elle considère la carte d’embarquement numérique comme une première étape vers un parcours aéroportuaire entièrement digitalisé, en phase avec l’évolution des services numériques et la croissance du trafic aérien au Maroc.

Rabat – Airports of Morocco, formerly known as the National Airports Office (ONDA), has announced the launch of a new service enabling passengers to use a fully digital boarding pass that can be accessed directly from their smartphones, as part of ongoing efforts to modernize services and digitize the travel experience across Moroccan airports.
In an official statement, the institution said the new system, called “Pax Check,” is part of a range of digital solutions designed to simplify travel procedures. Passengers can now access boarding gates by presenting a QR code, eliminating the need to carry or print a paper boarding pass.
According to the statement, the process begins after passengers complete online check-in through their airline’s mobile application. They then receive their digital boarding pass on their smartphone, while the airline verifies the required travel documents in advance in accordance with applicable regulations, allowing for smoother passage through security checkpoints and automated boarding gates.
Airports of Morocco stated that implementing the new system will help reduce reliance on paper documents, facilitate passenger movement throughout airport terminals, and maintain safety and security standards while complying with national and international regulations governing air transport.
The institution added that the “Pax Check” service will be rolled out gradually across airlines that meet the necessary technical and operational requirements. It described the digital boarding pass as the first step toward a more fully digitized airport journey, keeping pace with the evolution of digital services and the continued growth of air traffic in Morocco.
