Maroc – La sélection marocaine de football poursuit sa préparation pour son entrée en lice face au Brésil, samedi, dans le cadre de la Coupe du monde 2026, avec des signaux globalement positifs, notamment le retour du latéral Noussair Mazraoui aux entraînements collectifs, tandis que l’absence de Nayef Aguerd et Abdessamad Ezzalzouli pour cause de blessure a été confirmée.

Les examens médicaux ont révélé une entorse du genou droit accompagnée d’une déchirure avancée du ligament latéral interne pour Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, le contraignant à manquer la Coupe du monde 2026.
La Fédération a également indiqué que le défenseur Nayef Aguerd poursuit son programme de soins et de rééducation, mais que les délais ne permettent pas son retour à la compétition dans de bonnes conditions durant le tournoi, actant ainsi son forfait.
Les deux joueurs ont été remplacés par Amine Sbai et Marouane Saâdane dans la liste finale des 26 joueurs représentant le Maroc au Mondial 2026.

Morocco – The Moroccan national football team continues its final preparations for its opening match against Brazil on Saturday in the 2026 World Cup, with positive developments highlighted by Noussair Mazraoui’s return to full team training, alongside the confirmed absence of Nayef Aguerd and Abdessamad Ezzalzouli due to injury.
The Atlas Lions held another training session on Thursday in New Jersey, where Mazraoui rejoined the group after concerns over an injury sustained during the friendly match against Norway. His return provided a significant morale boost for the coaching staff and players ahead of the highly anticipated clash with one of the tournament favorites.
The session, led by national coach Mohamed Ouahbi and his staff, focused on technical and tactical work, particularly quick ball circulation, moving passes, and team cohesion, as part of the final preparations for the match against Brazil.
Meanwhile, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation released an official statement confirming the players’ medical status. Medical examinations revealed that Abdessamad Ezzalzouli suffered a right knee sprain accompanied by an advanced tear of the medial collateral ligament, ruling him out of the 2026 World Cup.
The federation also confirmed that defender Nayef Aguerd is continuing his treatment and rehabilitation program, but the remaining time does not allow for a competitive return during the tournament, confirming his exclusion.
Both players have been replaced by Amine Sbai and Marouane Saâdane in the final 26-man squad representing Morocco at the World Cup.
