Guelmim – Les Forces Armées Royales marocaines ont annoncé samedi la découverte du corps de l’un des deux soldats américains portés disparus lors de leur participation aux exercices militaires « African Lion 2026 » dans la région de Cap Draa, près de Tan-Tan, après des opérations conjointes de recherche menées sans interruption depuis le 2 mai courant.
Guelmim – Morocco’s Royal Armed Forces announced on Saturday the discovery of the body of one of the two American soldiers who went missing while participating in the “African Lion 2026” military exercises in the Cap Draa area near Tan-Tan, following continuous joint search operations since May 2.

Un communiqué officiel a précisé que les opérations intensives de recherche menées par les Forces Armées Royales, en coordination avec les forces américaines, ont permis le 9 mai 2026 de localiser et de récupérer le corps de l’un des militaires américains disparus au niveau d’une falaise rocheuse dans la région de Cap Draa.
An official statement explained that the intensive search operations carried out by the Royal Armed Forces, in coordination with U.S. forces, made it possible on May 9, 2026, to locate and recover the body of one of the missing American servicemen from a rocky cliff area in Cap Draa.
