La République du Costa Rica a réitéré son soutien à l’initiative d’autonomie proposée par le Maroc comme solution au différend régional autour du Sahara marocain, la qualifiant de « base la plus sérieuse, crédible et réaliste » pour parvenir à un règlement politique définitif de ce dossier.
The Republic of Costa Rica has reiterated its support for Morocco’s autonomy initiative as a solution to the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara, describing it as “the most serious, credible, and realistic basis” for achieving a final political settlement.

Cette position a été exprimée dans une déclaration conjointe signée à Rabat, à l’issue de discussions entre le ministre des Affaires étrangères, de la Coopération africaine et des Marocains résidant à l’étranger, Nasser Bourita, et son homologue costaricien Arnoldo André Tinoco, en visite de travail dans le Royaume.
This position was expressed in a joint declaration signed in Rabat following talks between Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita, and his Costa Rican counterpart Arnoldo André Tinoco, who is on a working visit to the Kingdom.

Le Costa Rica a affirmé que l’autonomie sous souveraineté marocaine constitue « la solution la plus viable » pour mettre fin à ce différend régional, soulignant son intention d’adopter cette position aux niveaux politique, diplomatique, économique et consulaire.

Le pays a également salué l’adoption de la résolution 2797 du Conseil de sécurité en 2025, qui consacre la dynamique internationale soutenant le processus politique et renforce l’initiative d’autonomie comme base réaliste de négociation en vue d’une solution durable et consensuelle.
The country also welcomed the adoption of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2797 in 2025, which reinforces the international momentum supporting the political process and strengthens the autonomy initiative as a realistic basis for negotiations toward a lasting and mutually agreed solution.
