Fes – Several residents of Bssais El Oulia, التابعة to the commune of Aïn Cheggag, and Douar Aïn Ennakhla, التابعة to the commune of Oulad Tayeb on the outskirts of Fes, reported a continuous outage of public street lighting for nearly a week, according to information received by Fes News from locals. The situation coincides with circulating claims of livestock theft in the area.
Fès – Plusieurs habitants de Bssais El Oulia, relevant de la commune d’Aïn Cheggag, et du douar Aïn Ennakhla, relevant de la commune d’Oulad Tayeb en périphérie de Fès, ont signalé une coupure continue de l’éclairage public depuis près d’une semaine, selon des informations parvenues à Fès News auprès des riverains. Cette situation coïncide avec la circulation d’allégations de vol de bétail dans la zone.

Residents clarified that Douar Aïn Ennakhla falls administratively under the commune of Oulad Tayeb, while the Bssais area belongs to the commune of Aïn Cheggag.
Les habitants ont précisé que le douar Aïn Ennakhla relève administrativement de la commune d’Oulad Tayeb, tandis que la zone de Bssais dépend de la commune d’Aïn Cheggag.

Some affected residents also stated that they contacted the concerned authorities regarding the streetlight malfunction, and that communication had been established with the competent commune about repairing the electricity network, pending technical intervention to restore normal conditions.
Certains riverains concernés ont également indiqué avoir contacté les autorités compétentes au sujet des pannes d’éclairage, précisant qu’une coordination a été engagée avec la commune concernée pour la réparation du réseau électrique, dans l’attente d’une intervention technique visant à rétablir la situation.

Plusieurs habitants ont exprimé leur mécontentement face à la persistance de la coupure, appelant à une intervention urgente pour rétablir l’éclairage public dans les plus brefs délais. Ils ont également plaidé pour le renforcement des patrouilles de sécurité nocturnes dans la zone afin de protéger les biens agricoles et prévenir toute exploitation éventuelle de l’obscurité, soulignant que l’activité agricole représente une source essentielle de revenus pour de nombreuses familles locales.
