The authorities of the Casablanca-Settat region denied today, Thursday, the circulating news about an order to close shops and early evacuation of workplaces in the economic capital. A responsible source from the regional governorate confirmed that no such decision has been issued by any authority.
The same source described these reports as “false,” expressing strong condemnation of the spread of such rumors on social media, which he said aim to undermine the citizens’ sense of security.
During a field visit, the Moroccan News Agency (MAP) observed that commercial activity and work are proceeding normally across various parts of Casablanca. It was also noted that educational institutions in Casablanca and Rabat continue their regular classes without interruption.
