The judicial police of the Taroudant provincial district succeeded in arresting a suspect in the Oulad Tarna area, after he fled immediately following the commission of a brutal murder in which his father was the victim.
Preliminary information indicates that the suspect inflicted multiple stab wounds on various parts of his father’s body using a sharp weapon, leading to the victim’s urgent transfer to the Moulay Al-Khattar Soussi Regional Hospital, where he later died.
Witnesses reported that a dispute had occurred between the suspect and his father, which prompted the suspect to commit the crime. They also noted that the accused suffers from psychological disorders that had previously caused him to physically abuse family members.
The detainee was placed under judicial custody by order of the Public Prosecutor at the Agadir Court of Appeal, pending a medical evaluation and the completion of the judicial investigation related to the case.
