Rabat, Morocco – The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced its weather forecast for the current week, indicating that moderate weather will prevail in the north and coastal areas of the Kingdom, while relatively hot weather will continue in the southeast and far south, where temperatures may reach up to 44°C.
Forecast Details
Starting Monday, maximum temperatures will range from 40°C to 44°C in the southern regions, and between 34°C and 40°C on the southeastern slopes and within the southern provinces. In contrast, the central inland plains and the east will see temperatures ranging from 30°C to 35°C, dropping to between 18°C and 25°C near the coasts, and 25°C to 30°C in the remaining areas.
The Directorate also forecasts the formation of localized thunderstorms over the eastern high plateaus, and scattered thunderstorms in the Rif and Middle Atlas, which may extend at night towards the interior of the Gharb region. Low clouds accompanied by fog and local drizzle are expected to spread along the Saharan coasts between Tiznit and Boujdour, and along the Mediterranean coast during the night. Relatively strong winds will affect the central coasts, the Atlas Mountains, the southeast, and the east, with a possibility of local dust blowing.

- Tuesday: The weather will remain relatively hot in the southeast, with unstable clouds passing over the High and Middle Atlas and the eastern high plateaus. Maximum temperatures will rise in the southeast, east, and inland plains, with a slight decrease in other areas. Winds will be relatively strong in the central regions, the Atlas Mountains, the south, and the east.
- Wednesday: The weather will stay relatively hot in the southeast and far south. Low clouds and local drizzle will form on the Saharan coasts between Tiznit and Laayoune in the morning and at night. The atmosphere will remain unstable over the High and Middle Atlas. Temperatures will see a slight increase in various regions.
- Weekend (Thursday – Sunday): Starting Saturday, the weather is expected to gradually become relatively hot in the southeast, east, and inland plains, with the continued formation of low clouds and local fog near the coasts during the morning and night.
