The National Democratic Party Calls on Party Coordinators to Discuss Legislative Election Law Proposals for 2026

Rabat, Morocco – The National Democratic Party, represented by its Secretary-General, has called upon the party coordinators in the provinces and prefectures across the Kingdom to contribute proposals for the legislative election laws governing the 2026 elections.

This call, issued in a statement dated August 15, 2025, emphasizes the importance the party places on the directives of King Mohammed VI, aimed at reviewing and developing the legal framework governing elections. The statement indicated that a meeting will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2026, under the supervision of the Minister of Interior and in the presence of the Secretary-Generals of political parties, to discuss these proposals.

The party reaffirmed its central role and called on its coordinators to formulate their proposals and ideas as soon as possible, with the objective of drafting a final memorandum that reflects the party’s vision for this reform initiative.
