France: Achraf Hakimi faces trial on sexual assault charges, and a photo reveals the plaintiff’s tricks

PARIS – In a significant development in a case capturing public attention, the Nanterre Prosecutor’s Office requested on Friday that Moroccan international and Paris Saint-Germain player Achraf Hakimi be referred to the departmental criminal court of Hauts-de-Seine. The charge: rape of a young woman in 2023, which Hakimi denies. This was confirmed by the prosecutor’s office in response to an AFP inquiry.

“The Nanterre Prosecutor’s Office today referred the investigating judge overseeing this judicial case with a request to transfer Hakimi to the departmental criminal court of Hauts-de-Seine on the charge of rape. It now falls to the investigating magistrate to make a decision within the framework of their ruling,” the prosecutor’s office stated, corroborating reports by Le Parisien.

Defense Response

Hakimi’s French lawyer, Fanny Colin, issued a fiery statement declaring:

“All accusations against Hakimi lack any evidence. We are confident in his innocence.”
As seen in the accompanying image, Colin appears in a white sleeveless top and sunglasses, alongside French text highlighting her outrage over “attempts to conceal the truth.”

Colin emphasized major contradictions in the case file, alleging a clear targeting of the player’s fame:

“Hakimi is a victim of character assassination and blackmail. We will defend him until the end!”

New Evidence Emerges

In a breaking development, French daily Le Kipe reported the discovery of several messages on the accuser’s phone. Among them:

“I had no choice but to take risks to protect my family”
and
“We will steal him.”

The French text in the image references details of the case involving “Nadia,” including her review of phone records, inappropriate messages sent to “Amélie” (such as “Ah j’ai le démon mdrr”“Ah, I have the devil lol”), and citations of the song “Fresh.” Yellow-highlighted phrases in the text pertain to “risk and family protection,” aligning with the newly surfaced messages.

Ongoing Investigations

While judicial investigations continue, Hakimi’s defense team remains resolute in exposing the truth and clearing his name publicly. The case, which has sparked widespread debate in sports and media circles, remains under active review by French judicial authorities.
