On Friday, Ifrane inaugurated the first edition of the Equestrian and Ecotourism Fair, organized jointly by the Regional Tourism Council and the Provincial Tourism Council of the Fès-Meknès region. The event aims to highlight the natural and cultural richness of the area and promote sustainable tourism.
In a press statement, Ahmed Sentissi, President of the Regional Tourism Council of Fès-Meknès, expressed his happiness about organizing this event, describing it as an important platform to showcase the assets of Ifrane province, known for its stunning parks and diverse tourism opportunities. Sentissi emphasized the council’s commitment to enhancing the region’s visibility both nationally and internationally.
Omar Jaïd, President of the Provincial Tourism Council of Ifrane, noted that the area’s diverse natural resources make it an ideal destination for ecotourism, underlining the significance of hosting this first-of-its-kind fair focused on ecotourism and equestrian activities.
The three-day fair brings together tourism professionals, nature enthusiasts, and horseback riding lovers, alongside local stakeholders involved in rural development. The program includes equestrian tours, visits to natural sites and historical landmarks, local product tastings, cultural performances, as well as seminars and discussions centered on sustainable and ecological tourism.
The fair seeks to valorize the region’s natural and cultural heritage and support local initiatives that encourage environmentally respectful and sustainable tourism development.
