Morocco Approaches 9 Million Visitors in the First Half of 2025

The Moroccan Ministry of Tourism announced that approximately 8.9 million tourists visited Morocco during the first half of 2025, marking a 19% increase compared to the same period last year.

The ministry confirmed that the Moroccan tourism sector continues its positive momentum, welcoming 8.9 million visitors from January to June 2025, an increase of 1.4 million tourists compared to the first half of 2024.

June alone recorded 1.7 million arrivals, up 11%, representing the best June performance ever recorded for the sector, according to the ministry led by Fatima-Zahra Ammor.

The ministry added that this strong start to the summer is expected to further boost tourism activity, especially as the peak season is in full swing. The Minister of Tourism expressed pride in these results, stating they reflect Morocco’s growing attractiveness and its increasing ability to draw a rising number of tourists.

To sustain this momentum, Morocco is entering the second half of the year with two key priorities: “strengthening the air transport sector and accelerating the development of accommodation and entertainment offerings to meet the demands of an increasingly discerning clientele,” Ammor emphasized.
