Fas News received a message from a local resident expressing concern over the poor performance of the sound system at the Qubbat Bab Ftouh mosque during the recent Eid al-Fitr prayer. The loudspeakers failed to deliver clear audio to worshippers outside the mosque’s walls, causing frustration among many attendees, most of whom left before the Eid sermon concluded.
The reader wrote: “Peace be upon you. I regret to inform you that the sound system at Qubbat Bab Ftouh mosque was very weak during Eid al-Fitr prayer and did not reach worshippers outside the mosque. This led to dissatisfaction and many left before the sermon ended. I hope this issue will not recur during Eid al-Adha prayers. Wishing you a blessed Eid.”
He added that publishing this report might draw the attention of the responsible authorities, encouraging them to fix the problem and prevent its recurrence in future religious occasions, ensuring the comfort of worshippers and their full engagement with the sermon.
Residents of Fez hope that necessary measures will be taken to improve the sound quality in major mosques during holidays and religious events, preserving the spiritual atmosphere and the importance of the sermon in reinforcing religious and social values.
Fas News emphasizes its commitment to addressing citizens’ concerns and calls on the relevant authorities to respond promptly to worshippers’ requests and provide a suitable prayer environment for all during religious celebrations.
